Recalculating

I love the way it calmly tells me that it is ‘recalculating’ if I have misinterpreted the instructions. No panic. No drama. No recriminations. Simply ‘recalculating’. I now use the word recalculating as a pattern interrupt when I notice myself visiting a lower vibration frequency. “Recalculating. I can think better than this etc.” I instantly start feeling better and it gets easier with practice.

Now you may be thinking: Well that sounds okay for everyday ups and downs, but what about when you feel stuck right down in a very unresourceful-feeling space?

It’s just the same – you can practise and learn to start to lift yourself up out of this stuck-feeling place to a slightly better feeling place. Have you ever seen a space ship launch? It doesn’t just go ‘whoosh’ from sitting firmly on its base to hurtling off at great speed. The countdown is completed, you know something is happening because you see some flames and then the rocket seems to hover. It’s no longer where it was, it’s lifting off before speeding off.

Once you have identified where you are in a ‘low’ place, by observing and naming the emotion you can start your ‘lift off’ thinking one better-feeling thought at a time.

I am feeling sad now and this is where I am. Recalculating. I can think better than this. What would feel a little bit better right now? Well, maybe I can just... and you’re getting ready to move. It’s about gently remembering that you really are a powerful creator and you can focus your thinking to allow yourself to start feeling better now.
